What is Asahi Intecc’s vision for the future?

Asahi Intecc is working to expand its business in the cardiovascular field where we already enjoy a high global share. Meanwhile, we are also carrying out aggressive global development in non-cardiovascular fields such as the peripheral vascular system, neurovascular system, abdominal vascular system and digestive system, in addition to actively taking on the challenge of creating business in robotics and various other new areas. Our aim is to combine our Group’s core technologies and expertise in the medical device field with new technologies to generate technological innovation, while continuing to deliver sustainable growth.

As for the creation of new business areas, we are working on various initiatives to realize next-generation smart medical treatment, including robot-assisted surgery and remote treatment. We believe that robotization and remote treatment are one solution for medical care in the midst of a global population decline and ongoing hospital work-style reform. Currently, Asahi Intecc has already developed and begun marketing a robot that works as an assistant during laparoscopic surgery, an unprecedented new concept for a robot.

Going forward, our aim is to use Asahi Intecc’s technological capabilities to improve quality of life (QOL) for patients around the world, and we will strive to continue to be a company that doctors around the world can count on.
