Social Media Policy

ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”) establish a policy regarding operation of our official social media accounts and delivery of information though such accounts as follows to provide our customers with useful information in a timely manner, and we will comply with it.

Principle of our official accounts

We operate our accounts in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, our “ASAHI INTECC Code of Conduct”, our internal rules and industrial rules.

Operations of our official accounts

(1)
If we find our post on our accounts incorrect, we will make an effort to correct it immediately. We understand that information once posted on the internet may not be perfectly removed, and try to keep careful and moderate use. Provided, however, that this provision does not warrant that the information posted on our accounts is true.
(2)
When we post information, we pay careful attention not to infringe rights of others, including, without limitation, portrait right, publicity right, copyright, trademark right, patent and trade secret of third parties.
(3)
We do not post any contents that might be considered a breach of privacy of third party or obligation to protect confidentiality of third party on our accounts. We will obtain permission from such third party before we post such contents on our account.

On the occasion of our posting information on platform of each social media, we comply with the terms of use, rule and other policy established by operator of the platform.
(5)
We do not always make a response, including, without limitation, share, retweet, like, and follow, to all posts by users.
(6)
We may, at our own judgement, make a response, including, without limitation, share, retweet, like and follow, to user’s post, provided, however, that, nothing in the response shall be construed as our taking responsibility for contents of such user’s posts.
(7)
We do not always make a response to user’s comment or direct message to our account. As we do not manage the reception of comments on our account and direct message to our account, we cannot respond to any inquiries related to comment posted or direct message sent by user.

In the case that a user performs what we deem as inappropriate, including, without limitation, hindering us from operating our accounts or infringing our or a third party’s right (including, without limitation, harassing, insult, threat, baseless criticism, comments which are inappropriate, offensive, vulgarity, inflammatory or lack of cultural, racial or social considerateness, destructive, harassing or defamatory, comments deemed as spam message, what is out of subject and advertisements of products or services), we may, at our own judgement, remove such post, block such user’s account and the like without notification to or consent of such user. In addition, in the case that we deem as reasonably necessary to find or prevent injustice or secure safety and protect for public or individuals, we may, at our own judgement, submit such user’s response, including, without limitation, post, share, retweet, like and follow and direct message, to law enforcement agency.

We do not disclose user’s personal information to a third party without permission of the user or subject to personal information protection law or other applicable laws. We make efforts to protect user’s personal information, provided, however, that, in the case of leaking user’s information due to system of operator of social media platform or a third party’s negligence, we will not be responsible for the leakage.

Operation of our accounts may be changed, suspended or terminated at our own decision without any notice.
(11)
Information posted on our account is at the time of posting and may be changed afterwards.

To all users who use our official accounts

Please read this policy and the terms of use provided by an operator of social media platform carefully and understand them before start using our accounts. If you post to one of our accounts, or make a response, including, without limitation, share, retweet, like and follow, to one of our posts, you are agreeing to abide by this policy, and the terms of use, rules and other policies provided by an operator of social media platform.

Post in our accounts regarding medicinal drug and medical device is intended only for healthcare professional.
(3)
We do not recommend to use drug and medical device in unapproved usage. Therefore, we may, at our own decision, remove comment regarding use of drug or medical device that is inconsistent with their labeling or that is not indicated by regulatory authority.

Please remember that post from our accounts regarding drug and medical device is to provide general information of our product itself, function of our service, usage, way of use of our product and service, and is not a replacement for diagnostic or medical advice for health or doctor’s advice. Please consult with a healthcare professional when you need diagnostic as to health care or medical service or advice.

Information posted from our accounts does not always express our official announcement or view. Please refer to our website and news release regarding such announcement or view. In addition, please make a contact with our sales representative of each area regarding details of our product and service. As a status of medical approval and usage of our medical device are different in each country and region, please contact our sales representative in each country and region.

Your post and comment on our accounts will be public. Do not share or post any personal or sensitive information that you would not want to make public or generally available about yourself o others. Even if you delete a post, it may have already have been viewed by others and may still be available through search engine. For protection of users, we will remove any post from our account that may contain personal identifiable information about anyone, including, without limitation, a phone number, address, email or date of birth.

Please do not post contents which infringe any third parties right, including, without limitation, privacy or intellectual property right (for example, portrait right, publicity right, copyright, trade mark right, patent and trade secret). Please obtain right or permission to make a post before you post such contents.

We will not be responsible for comment posted on our account by users.
(9)
We will not be responsible for trouble or conflict among users related to our accounts.
(10)
We will not be responsible for damages caused from using or not being able to use our accounts.

Amendment of this Policy

We may amend this policy without any notice. Amended policy will take effect when posted on our website or when announced by other means.

This policy will be applied to the following official accounts, provided, however, that, where other social media guide line, social media policy or disclaimer is established and disclosed in one of our accounts, such guide line, policy or disclaimer replace this policy and will be applied to such account.
